Pantry Doors

Choosing Pantry Doors.

There are many ways to design your kitchen. Adding a pantry helps to make the kitchen clean and organize. Pantries can be the walk in type or mobile cabinets use to store foods and kitchen wares. While pantry cabinets takes up floor spaces in the kitchen floor, most households will choose to design a separate walk in pantry to give an illusion of a large spacious kitchen. By blending in the walk in pantry with the kitchen cabinets, most people will not notice a separate closet as part of the kitchen. Therefore, it is important to choose a nice pantry door for the pantry that will fit well with the rest of the kitchen decor.

Type of Pantry Door Design
Wood Pantry Doors and Glass Pantry Doors are the two most common types of doors use for pantry. Wood materials are favourites because the same type of wood and style use for the kitchen cabinet can be use to make the pantry doors. When you want to design the kitchen, you could tell the designer to use the same wood material so that the pantry door can be made to look like part of the kitchen cabinets. When the pantry door design blends in with the cabinets, nobody will notice the separate storage room if the door is closed. If your household kitchen is using a modern theme, you may have a lot of tampered glass type of cabinets. Then you can consider using glass pantry doors to blend in. With glass pantry doors, you have the option to choose etched glass designs or frosted glass pantry doors. You could have a French door design if you have French kitchen decor but whichever type of material, you choose, please consider whether you will be using the door for hanging racks or shelving as some glass pantry doors may not be suitable. Most kitchen pantries uses pantry door that has a glass in a wooden door frame. With this design, the glass can use to block or see through the pantry room and also allow designs to decorated on the glass itself.

As the main function of the pantry is for storage, you should consider what is frequently used and and place those items closer to the pantry's entrance. Some women prefer to have their cooking spices store on the pantry door itself using an over the door shelving, so it is convenient for them to retrieve the items by opening the door. If you intend to mount storage shelves on the door itself to save space, do not use sliding pantry doors.
